Our privacy promise

Nothing about what you do on your computer ever leaves it. HangUpNow watches for scam remote-control tools on your own PC. It does not read your files, your screen, your browsing, or your messages, and it never sends them anywhere.

What comes in

The only thing HangUpNow downloads is its scam blocklist — the up-to-date list of remote-control tools and known scam patterns it watches for. This is a one-way download, like a weather update. It contains nothing about you.

What goes out

In the free version: nothing about your activity. We may collect anonymous, aggregate counts (for example, “the app blocked X events this week” with no identifying detail) only to know the product is working. You can turn even that off in settings.

If you choose Pro in the future (optional, paid), some features — like texting a family member when a scam is blocked — require sending that single alert, and only with your explicit consent and setup. We will always tell you exactly what each Pro feature sends before you turn it on.

Your email

If you join the early-access list, we store your email address to send you the launch and product news. We use it for nothing else, never sell it, and you can leave any time with one click. Email is handled by our email provider purely to deliver these messages.

What we never do

• We never sell or share your personal data.
• We never show ads or work with data brokers.
• We never phone you, or ask for money or remote access — that's what scammers do.

Your rights

You can ask us what we hold about you (just your email, if you joined the list), and ask us to delete it, at any time — email demontfortllc@tachyontracker.com. We honour GDPR and CCPA rights for everyone, everywhere.

HangUpNow reduces the risk of remote-control scams; no security tool can promise to stop every scam. This is a pre-launch draft and will be finalised, with our registered company details, before launch. HangUpNow is a product of de Montfort LLC.
